GUIDANCE ON FUE
The British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS) is dedicated to patient safety and education. We are aware that there is confusion regarding terminology around FUE (follicular unit excision) especially with regards to what is meant by the words excision, incision and extraction. In this podcast, in collaboration with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP), BAHRS President Chris D’Souza and Vice President Greg Williams clarify the terminology as well as explaining which steps of a hair transplant surgery procedure should be done by a GMC licensed doctor and which can be delegated to non-doctor technicians.
