The Global Council of Hair Restoration Surgery Societies meeting took place via Zoom Video Conference on the 22nd September 2022. 

The BAHRS is one of the founding members of the ISHRS Global Council which now has 24 regional member societies. Representing the BAHRS was Dr Chris D’Souza (President) and Dr Greg Williams (Vice-President).

There were updates on the upcoming ISHRS World Congress in Panama which looks to be very well attended in person, with recorded content also being available for virtual attendees. 

The ISHRS Europe Council confirmed their partnership with the BAHRS to host a Live Surgery Workshop in Manchester next year. This has been planned specifically to run prior to the BAHRS Annual Conference and the European Hair Research Society Meeting 2023. 

The ISHRS Fight the Fight campaign is still active and proving to be a successful initiative. The Second Annual World Hair Transplant Repair Day will be held on 11/11/22 - https://fightthefight.ishrs.org/hair-transplant-repair-day/

All members of the ISHRS Global Council were encouraged to foster relationships between each other and the ISHRS to raise standards in hair transplant surgery.
