BAPRAS and BAAPS Guidance

It is the position of the BAHRS that Hair Transplant Surgery for male and female pattern hair loss should be seen as a treatment for a diagnosable genetically caused and hormonally mediated medical condition, and should not be considered ‘cosmetic surgery’. On 21/10/2019 the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRASand the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) issued a joint press release supporting the BAHRS position on this matter which can be found here
